Amanda Gylling

Amanda Gylling is a director and stills photographer based in Stockholm. Drawing from her background in dance and a love of travel, Amanda’s work is shaped by rhythm, movement, and a keen eye for composition. Embedded within the arts, her approach is enriched by the diverse storytelling techniques of feature films, art, and theatre.

Drawn to the spaces between the mundane and the peculiar, she crafts vivid characters and worlds with close attention to detail and a flash of mischief. Her film "The Sun and I Can Do Our Best" for Vogue Scandinavia is a perfect example, placing fashion at the centre of a charming, absurdist narrative, while her stills work homes in on her ability to find the details in new places.
