Läskvarten

Leia is a Swedish director with one purpose at the heart of her work: to make people feel something. She has a love for emotional storytelling and creating rich visual worlds. Named after Princess Leia, perhaps you could say a life in film was written in the stars.  She spent the first years of her career at new—land working alongside some of Scandinavia’s most established directors, getting a front-row seat to filmmaking. Along the way, observing turned into the urge to tell stories of her own.  Her directorial debut for the non-profit organization Läskvarten won Silver at Young Directors Award in Cannes 2026.
